$775,000.00 + Recovered
Details
The Schulman Law Group successfully obtained $775,00.000 (after an offer to settle in the amount of $5,000.00 up until the time of trial; plus another ½ million ($500,000.00) dollars in worker’s compensation benefits) for our client, a former social worker, who sustained a spinal cord injury, when a public telephone enclosure fell on her at a local area gas station. Through hard work and resourcefulness, the Schulman Law Group determined that the manufacturer of the telephone booth improperly designed and manufactured the telephone booth enclosure in a way that allowed it to suddenly fall over and, in this case, strike our client behind her neck.
Wrongful Death
$4,900,000.00 Recovered
Details
The Schulman Law Group successfully recovered four million nine hundred thousand dollars total for a wrongful death at work site. This award result exceeded the worker’s compensation immunity death benefit limit of $100,000. This result was for the death of a welder against his employer. Our client’s husband suffered fatal injuries when a steel platform on an environmental building at a Miami-Dade County energy plant partially collapsed, due to his employer’s reckless acts that The Schulman Law Group proved were substantially certain to result in his death.
The Schulman Law Group credits this extraordinary, precedent setting result in a Worker’s Compensation case against an employer, to our hard work, resourcefulness, tenacity and team effort. The Schulman Law Group was aided by an outstanding expert, who served as the forensic engineer at the terrorist bombing sites in Sri Lanka, Kenya, the Federal building in Oklahoma City, the World Trade Centers in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. The Schulman Law Group takes great pride in reporting that due to this achievement, our young widowed client now has the financial support and structure that will quite properly care for her for the remainder of her life.
