Florida Supreme Court Strikes Down Caps on Medical Malpractice Damages
June 10, 2017The Government Makes Mistakes, Shouldn’t They Have to Pay for Them Too?
June 15, 2017Two vehicles swerving erratically through traffic in Lauderhill are alleged to have set off a chain reaction that led to one death and 10 people being injured.
A Chevrolet SUV swerved off the road and struck a bus-stop bench in Lauderhill, as two women were walking nearby, one of whom was killed. It is unknown whether the Chevrolet SUV was one of the vehicles that was driving erratically in the lead-up to this multi-vehicle Florida collision. Several other vehicles were involved in the incident, causing property damage and injuries to numerous Florida drivers and their passengers.
Reports state that four other people who were sitting on the bench or waiting nearby, were also injured during the Lauderhill accident. Other victims who were in the immediate area were treated for minor injuries after being struck by flying debris from the vehicles involved.
The circumstances of this tragic incident highlight the importance of driving with the utmost care and caution on South Florida roadways. Also, it is crucial to be aware of your surroundings so that you can try to anticipate a potential Florida car accident if you see a nearby vehicle driving erratically or carelessly. This incident is a painful reminder that negligent Florida drivers don’t just put themselves and other drivers at risk, because pedestrians, bicyclists and others could easily be injured (or worse) when a Florida car accident is caused by reckless, negligent drivers.
