September 16, 2015Florida Highway Patrol stated that four people were killed and one person was seriously injured after a collision involving two vehicles.
Spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol says the head-on collision happened on September 8, at around 9:30 p.m. on northbound U.S. 27 in Weston, located about 20 miles west of Fort Lauderdale. Three of the victims were inside an SUV that overturned as a result of the accident, the other victim was in a car. The cause of the accident is undetermined, but authorities are investigating.
While any motor vehicle accident can be a traumatic experience, those involving head-on collisions are generally the most dangerous. The type of injuries caused by a head-on collision can have the most serious effects on the body, especially if the accident occurs at a high speed.
